The 2026 Prestige Update changed Brawl Stars completely. No more gems in boxes. No more random drops. At first I thought it was a disaster. Then I figured out the new system.
If you're still looking for gems in Brawl Boxes, stop. Boxes are now Legacy items - they don't drop gems anymore . The whole economy shifted. But that doesn't mean free gems are gone. They're just in different places now .
Here's where I get my gems in 2026:
1. Brawl Pass Free Track (90-100 gems per season)
This is the most consistent source. Every season, the free track gives around 90-100 gems. It takes time, but it's guaranteed. No luck involved .
2. Supercell Store Bonus (10 gems per season)
This one is weird - you have to claim it from the Supercell Store website, not in the game. It's 10 free gems per season, and most people forget about it .
3. Trophy Road Rewards
Certain trophy milestones still give gems. Not as many as before, but still worth pushing for .
4. Daily Login Streak (Days 5 and 19)
If you log in every day, day 5 and day 19 give gem rewards. Easy to forget, easy to claim .
The problem with all these methods? They're slow. You're looking at 2-3 months to save for a Brawl Pass if you're free-to-play .
I was patient for a while. Saved up, bought the pass, enjoyed the season. But when I wanted to gear up a second account for testing, waiting months wasn't an option.
Quick note — a friend showed me a different approach for my second account. Not gonna pretend it's the "official way", but it got me started in a weekend instead of three months. Link below if you're curious.
Here's what I used →The Hypercharge system is another thing entirely. You need 5,000 Power Points and 10,000 coins to unlock one . That's months of grinding. I've only unlocked two so far .

The Supercell Store tip is gold! I totally forgot about that. Just claimed my 10 gems, thanks Alex.
I tried the "weekend approach" you mentioned. It actually works! Finally got my Leon after 2 years of playing lol.
