I was halfway through a beautiful butterfly picture when I ran out of hints. No gems left either. I didn't want to pay. After a few days of testing, I found a way to stack free hints and gems without spending a cent. Here's exactly how I did it.

I used hints the moment I got stuck. Bad habit. I didn't realize that hints are more valuable when you save them for complex pictures. I wasted 20 hints on easy levels that I could have finished by zooming in. Once I started saving hints for the detailed images, I never ran out again.

The Method That Got Me Unlimited Free Hints and Gems

1. Complete the daily "Color Streak" at reset – The daily streak resets at midnight. I started completing it right at reset. The game gives bonus hints for being among the first to finish. I got 15 bonus hints in one week just from ranking in the top 100. Most players don't know this because they play during the day.

2. Watch ads at 2 AM for double rewards – Ad rewards reset every 6 hours. I set an alarm for 2 AM. The ads at that hour often gave double gems. I did 10 ad watches and got 50 gems instead of the usual 25. It's annoying to wake up, but the extra gems add up fast.

3. Join a Facebook group that shares "gift codes" – I joined two Jewel Coloring fan groups. Every few days, players post gift codes from the developers. I entered every code I found. In one week, I got 30 free hints and 200 gems just from codes.

4. Replay old completed pictures – Once you finish a picture, you can replay it for free. Each replay gives you 1 hint and 5 gems. I replayed my favorite simple pictures while watching TV. In one evening, I earned 20 hints and 100 gems without any effort.

I remember waking up at 2 AM, half asleep, thinking "why am I doing this?" I watched five ads in a row. On the fifth ad, I got a jackpot – 50 gems instead of 5. I sat up in bed.
