I started playing Raid because of the memes. I kept playing because I got hooked on the strategy. And then I wasted 2,000 gems on stupid rookie mistakes. Here’s what I learned & how I save 5,000+ gems every few months now.
The Ancient Shard Mistake
When I was new, I thought gems were for buying Ancient Shards directly. Big error. The rates are too low. You should only buy shards during events that give double rewards or special fusions. If you enjoy the hero-collector grind, check out my Genshin Impact Primogems guide – different game, same resource management rules.
Ignoring the passive gem mine
I didn’t upgrade the gem mine for months. Once maxed, it produces gems passively every single day. It’s the best long-term investment in the game. It’s a similar logic to guild-based rewards in Royal Kingdom – consistency over time wins.
Fusion Preparation
Save your gems for energy refills during fusion events. A fusion can take thousands of gems if you're not ready. Just like diamond saving in Whiteout Survival, patience is your strongest weapon.
⚔️ Need more gems for the fusion?
I found a way to get extra gems when I’m short. It’s helped me finish two fusions without spending real money. 1,500+ players used this last month.

Reader Discussion
Maxing out the gem mine was the first thing I did after reading a similar guide. Best tip ever. Total passive income!
